John Stevens started working in the upholstery industry in 1964. He spent 12 years learning the trade and perfecting his craft. He established John Stevens Upholstery in 1976; since then, he has helped countless families restore their furniture and also keep the furniture passed down by generations alive. For John, restoring furniture is an art form and a passion. He has successfully instilled and maintained traditional business values and will never advise you of anything that is not in your best interest. John also served the military and is a proud member of the local community. His values and ethics have helped us gain a reputation for quality and customer service.

Meet our Office Manager/Design Consultant Samantha!
Samantha is a Nashville Native who graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design in 2008 and has been serving the Nashville community in the design field since. She’s collaborated with clients as a residential designer, Senior Project Manager, Furniture Sales Consultant, custom drapery Stylist and most recently as Office Manager for John Stevens Upholstery. While attending Hickory Chair University, her interest in bench made furniture and upholstery piqued and she is thrilled to now be a part of John’s team as a witness to his quality craftsmanship. Her shared passion for furniture construction and fabric is evident as she guides our clients through the upholstery process.
